Commercial Controller


For our Business Group Ingredients in Amersfoort The Netherlands, we are looking for a Commercial Controller.


As a Commercial Controller, you fully understand the principles of internal control policies and processes, accounting procedures, legislation and tax requirements (both local and corporate), and diligently apply them in all you do. As well as contributing to the optimization and expansion of systems and methods in the field of financial-economic information facilities, you will be fully involved in a variety of multi-disciplinary improvement projects.
Acting as a sparring partner for our Sales and Marketing teams will be key in your job. Indeed, you will take a leading role in drafting business cases for issues such as pricing, capacity expansion. This does require a degree of organizational sensitivity, in addition to an open and persuasive manner of communicating. The commercial controlling makes a big contribution to steering the Marketing- and Sales Director and analyzing, interpreting and advising on financial-economic data and results. A role that is all about understanding the product, the production process and the markets we operate in.

To succeed, you will not only need the ability to analyze data but also to sell the message and put changes into motion, regardless of size. Although creating overview, you will regularly dive deep into the business and use your interpersonal skills to build relationships with, and influence a variety of people.


In order to be successful in this position, we expect the candidate to have the following qualifications:

  • University degree, preferably with additional RA/RC qualification.
  • At least 4-7 years of relevant work experience, ideally gained within international business
  • Strong business acumen, highly analytical and excellent strategic vision
  • Leadership skills
  • Understanding of business support systems and advanced Excel knowledge; 
  • Business sense, result driven, enthusiastic, pro-active, flexible, can do attitude with a continuous improvement mindset;
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English;
  • Team-focused, feel accountable, helicopter view.

The role of FrieslandCampina Nutrifeed is to valorize by-products of Food and IFT production into valuable feed products for the global Calves and Piglets market.
All Go to Market functions are based at the FrieslandCampina headquarter in Amersfoort. In this position you will have a base in Amersfoort.
